[The Infiltration]

it wasn't terrible

i mean the animation and effects were ok, thought the protagonist's body sometimes disappeared. it definitely needs sound though, get some sound effects and music and add 'em (be sure to compress them first though). add in the sounds even if this does pass judgement; you can edit your movies that are already in the portal.

um...?

i dunno, it wasn't all that good. he tells us his fellow squirrels are gay and gets his head blown off. what's the point? he doesn't really look like a squirrel either. squirrels have bushy tails. and then there's the matter where half his face stays behind when the rest of his head is gone. fix that.

how to compress audio:

1) find the audio in the library and double click on it.
2) next to 'compression' click MP3 in the drop-down menu.
3) next to 'bit rate' choose one from 16 kbps to 48 kbps to obtain the best balance between sound quality and file size.
4) click 'test' to listen to how the audio sounds, and repeat step 3 as necessary.
5) make sure the box next to 'preprocessing' stays checked.
6) next to 'quality' choose 'best' from the drop-down menu.
7) click ok.

Unfortunately almost all of my sound is in .wav format, seeing as I watch the videos then think of something at random and type it into google. The sound files in my art (ha!) are rather small, it's .bmp (picture) compression that is a major issue for me. Thanks for the tip all the same.

ok...

well if you're not going to have it done in time for halloween, then what's the point of submitting it? an unfinished, 10 second sequence doesn't have a chance of winning or anything, so you might as well have waited. but go ahead and finish, though, it's certainly intriguing.

pretty bad

let's see... ripped sprites, bad original artwork, jerky animation, every gun sounds the same, and sound was uncompressed. not to mention it's just another bad madness clone.

ah yes...

this does remind me of the glory days of newgrounds... where you not only got a toon when blowing the whistle, but after you give the vote that blams or saves a submission (i was fortunate enough to see both)... in the ancient times before the redesign (but after ng was all sketchy cuz of all the porn ads... the dark ages...). good stuff, i liked it.

not bad

the battles were kinda short and didn't altogether flow that well (sorta just went moving, still, moving, still). also, the hand drawn parts looked kinda bad and some of the writing was kinda lame, but overall it was pretty good (considering i haven't seen the rest of the series and had no idea what was going on). i'm sure plenty of people will accuse you of ripping off alvin-earthworm's style, but hey, what can ya do?

also, where can i too get that xiao xiao sound pack, seems like a good thing to have...

good stuff

pretty much sums up my life right there, especially the sniper rifle part. my friend is a sniping FIEND and it's pretty much the bane of my existence. but yeah, a good flash as always. good to see you making toons again.

Yep, finally back to making cartoons after a while off. I'm not too shabby with the sniper rifle myself. It's my best weapon. Doesn't come in handy in 90% of battles, but hey, at least I've got something...
